Quentin Blake was born in 1932. He read English at Downing College, Cambridge. His professional life started in Punch and the Spectator. He is known for his collaborations with writers such as Russell Hoban, Joan Aiken, Michael Rosen, John Yeoman, and most famously, Roald Dahl. He was appointed the first Children’s Laureate in 1999. He is a CBE and an honorary Doctor of Cambridge University. He received a knighthood for ‘services to illustration’ in the New Year’s Honours for 2013.

Terms and Conditions: Please note all works will be available for collection from Wednesday 17 November 2021 at Freedom from Torture offices, 111 Isledon Road, London N7 7JW. The artwork will be safely stored, free of charge until Friday 17 December 2021. Alternatively, Freedom from Torture can help organise national and international delivery of artworks through a third party, to the winner. The winning bidder will be responsible for all delivery costs and will be invoiced directly by the third party.
