Mary Fedden was born in Bristol in 1915. She studied at Slade School of Fine Art from 1932 – 1936. Her first exhibition was held at Mansard Gallery, in 1947, featuring a still life and flower paintings. From 1946 Fedden painted prolifically and had regular exhibitions at the Redfern Gallery, the New Grafton Gallery and many other galleries throughout Britain. From 1984 – 1988, Fedden was President of the RWA, and became a Senior Royal Academician in 1998. She received an OBE in 2009. Fedden died on 22nd June 2012 in London aged 96.

Terms and Conditions: Please note all works will be available for collection from Wednesday 17 November 2021 at Freedom from Torture offices, 111 Isledon Road, London N7 7JW. The artwork will be safely stored, free of charge until Friday 17 December 2021. Alternatively, Freedom from Torture can help organise national and international delivery of artworks through a third party, to the winner. The winning bidder will be responsible for all delivery costs and will be invoiced directly by the third party.
