Beezy Bailey is a South African artist who works in various media, including painting, sculputre, drawing, printmaking, and ceramics. He has been a full time artist for 30 years, with over 20 one-man shows in London, Johannesburg and Cape Town.Bailey has a history of close collaboration with other artists, including David Bowie, Brian Eno and Dave Matthews. In Brian Eno’s words: Beezy makes his art out of joy and laughter (and sometimes out of terror). He is somebody whom art comes easily and who doesn‘t feel guilty about it, who revels in his gift and has confidence in it‘.Bailey has been the driving force behind several art auctions benefittign various charitble institutions, including ART 4 AIDS in 2004, and Art for Africa which was held at Sotheby’s in 2009. Beezy has exhibited in Germany, Austria, the Czech Republic, and England. His work is represented in Several art collections, including the David Bowie Art Collection and The South African National Gallery Collection.

Terms and Conditions: Please note all works will be available for collection from Wednesday 17 November 2021 at Freedom from Torture offices, 111 Isledon Road, London N7 7JW. The artwork will be safely stored, free of charge until Friday 17 December 2021. Alternatively, Freedom from Torture can help organise national and international delivery of artworks through a third party, to the winner. The winning bidder will be responsible for all delivery costs and will be invoiced directly by the third party.
